Mechanical Engineer – CNC Programming

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong CNC programming expertise to develop and optimize machining programs for new and rework parts. The role involves close collaboration with engineering and shop floor teams to ensure high‑quality production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs (3‑axis to 5‑axis) using CAM software such as Mastercam or Esprit.
• Optimize tool paths, feeds, speeds, and tooling for reduced cycle time and superior surface finish.
• Interpret engineering prints, 3D models, and customer drawings to create accurate programs.
• Work directly with machinists during first‑piece setup and program proofing.
• Maintain the program library, post‑processors, and tooling documentation.
• Support continuous improvement of CNC programming standards across the shop.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of CNC programming experience in a job‑shop or production environment.
• Proficiency with Mastercam, Esprit, or comparable CAM software.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
