Inspector

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Inspector to develop and optimise CNC programs for both new and rework parts. The role works closely with engineering and machining teams to ensure high‑quality production while meeting cycle‑time and surface‑finish targets.

Key responsibilities

• Create CNC programs (3‑axis to 5‑axis) using Mastercam, Esprit or similar CAM software.
• Optimise tool paths, feeds, speeds and tooling selections to improve cycle time and surface finish.
• Interpret engineering prints, 3‑D models and customer drawings to generate accurate programs.
• Collaborate with machinists during first‑piece setup and program proofing.
• Maintain a library of programs, post‑processors and tooling documentation.
• Support continuous improvement of CNC programming standards across the shop.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of CNC programming experience in a job‑shop or production environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and solid understanding of GD&T.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Mastercam, Esprit or comparable CAM software.
• Experience in 3‑axis and 5‑axis CNC programming.
• Blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
• Tool‑path optimisation and tooling selection.
