Rotating Equipment Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Specialist to provide high‑level technical consultancy and advice on complex mechanical and rotating equipment matters. The role involves engineering study, design, troubleshooting, and support for operations and maintenance across our oil‑and‑gas facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Apply approved policies, processes and procedures to ensure controlled execution of technical work.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical support to Operations and Maintenance, including plant visits to diagnose problems and propose solutions.
• Deliver in‑house consultation and technical advice to ESD and other departments, anticipating and solving unprecedented engineering challenges.
• Plan and develop engineering projects with unique problems, defining scope, investigating novel concepts and delivering recommendations.
• Interpret standards and codes, perform complex specialised engineering assignments, and act independently on technical matters.
• Inspect equipment at factories to verify compliance with specifications and procurement documents.
• Implement project cost‑control procedures to keep engineering projects within budget.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and training to less experienced engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Advanced English proficiency (KJO L6).
