Rotating Equipment Specialist

About the role

The Rotating Equipment Specialist provides high‑level technical consultancy and engineering expertise for mechanical and rotating equipment. The role supports operations and maintenance teams, solves complex engineering problems, and ensures compliance with standards and procurement specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Apply approved policies, processes and procedures to guarantee controlled execution of technical work.
• Support day‑to‑day operations by visiting plants, diagnosing issues and delivering practical solutions.
• Offer in‑house technical advice to multiple departments, anticipate unprecedented problems and develop novel engineering concepts.
• Interpret standards and codes, act independently on technical matters and perform specialised engineering assignments.
• Inspect equipment at factories to verify compliance with specifications and procurement documents.
• Implement project cost‑control measures and monitor budgets for engineering projects.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
• Prepare accurate section reports and ensure adherence to safety, health and environmental procedures.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Rotating Equipment or related discipline.
• Proven experience in complex mechanical/rotating equipment design, troubleshooting and inspection.
• Ability to interpret technical standards, codes and procurement specifications.
• Strong analytical skills to develop innovative solutions for unique engineering challenges.
• Experience in project cost control and reporting.
