Process Engineering Specialist

About the role

The Process Engineering Specialist provides high‑level technical consultancy and advice on complex engineering studies and design functions. The role ensures standards are clarified, interpreted and applied, and develops methods where they are not yet defined.

Key responsibilities

• Apply approved policies, processes and procedures, monitoring adherence to ensure controlled work execution.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations to guarantee compliance with established standards.
• Provide in‑house engineering consultation to ESD and other departments, anticipating and solving unprecedented problems.
• Plan and develop engineering projects with unique or complex scopes, exploring innovative concepts and solutions.
• Act independently on technical matters, interpreting standards and code requirements to maintain company standards.
• Review equipment quotations, purchase requests and bid summaries, offering sound advice and inspecting equipment for specification compliance.
• Mentor less‑experienced engineers, delivering technical leadership and on‑the‑job training.
• Troubleshoot abnormal problems and recommend remedial actions.
• Prepare accurate section reports and coach job‑family holders to enhance capabilities.
• Comply with safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Advanced English proficiency (KJO L6 – Advanced).
• Proven ability to act independently on technical matters and provide expert engineering consultation.
