About the role

This position provides immediate substitute coverage for a school bus driver, ensuring safe and reliable transportation for students. The role supports the district’s curriculum and extracurricular activities by delivering punctual, secure travel to authorized stops.

Key responsibilities

• Obey all traffic laws and mandatory school‑bus safety regulations.
• Maintain discipline on the bus and report any undisciplined behavior to the appropriate authority.
• Keep the assigned bus clean and conduct pre‑trip mechanical checks.
• Follow the assigned schedule, report mechanical failures or lateness, and notify the proper authority.
• Discharge students only at authorized stops and transport only authorized students.
• Exercise responsible leadership on out‑of‑district trips.
• Report all accidents, complete required documentation, and enforce no‑smoking and no‑eating policies.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license and a bus driver’s license.
• Ability to follow district policies and safety regulations.
• Non‑exempt status as defined by the district.
