Senior Editor – Remote Full‑Time

About the role

The Senior Editor (SrE) serves as the voice of the Editorial Department in internal meetings, ensuring that editorial needs are integrated into project plans. Working remotely on a full‑time basis, the SrE oversees account launches, manages workloads, and mentors new hires on pharmaceutical advertising standards.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Editorial in status and kickoff meetings, providing feedback on Creative Briefs, Estimates, and Timelines.
• Assign and prioritize editorial tasks across assigned accounts, collaborating with Project Management as needed.
• Manage launches with minimal supervision and adhere to editorial checklists and processes.
• Fact‑check copy, verify citations, and ensure compliance with Client, Brand, AMA style, and FDA guidelines.
• Review work of other editors for style consistency and provide constructive comments.
• Maintain and share the Editorial Style Guide and Master Citation List.
• Support teammates during high‑volume periods and participate in rotating night/weekend schedules.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical advertising mandates and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to interpret and communicate client, medical, legal, and regulatory requests clearly.
• Experience mentoring junior editors and delivering training modules.
• Professional, calm demeanor in high‑pressure situations.
