Maintenance Project Worker – Special Projects

About the role

The School District is seeking a Maintenance Project Worker to support special construction and repair projects across all facilities. The role ensures that schools remain safe, functional, and ready for educational use at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general interior and exterior construction tasks, including roof, ceiling, and floor tile installation and repair.
• Execute caulking, glazing, painting, concrete footings, foundations, and concrete surface finishing.
• Carry out masonry work and material estimations, reading and interpreting construction prints and documents.
• Account for materials and labor, maintain safety and code compliance, and manage inventory of hand tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Write routine reports, recommend purchases, and respond to on‑call duties 24 hours a day.
• Perform additional related tasks as directed by the Director of Maintenance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lb frequently (up to 90 lb occasionally), and perform repetitive manual tasks.
• Knowledge of safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and construction procedures.
