Accountant / Analyst – Finance & Accounting Role

About the role

The Accountant / Analyst will support the finance function by processing payments, preparing journal entries, and assisting with month‑end and year‑end closing activities. The role works closely with internal departments and external parties to ensure accurate and timely accounting records.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process third‑party payments, payroll, social security, benefits and expense reimbursements.
• Calculate Zakat withholding and ensure statutory compliance.
• Provide input for monthly cash calls to maintain adequate cash reserves.
• Prepare, review and book journal entries after approval, attaching supporting documentation for audit purposes.
• Compile data and documents to respond to audit queries.
• Review bank reconciliations, resolve unidentified items and overdue checks.
• Participate in month‑end and year‑end closing, identifying anomalies and ensuring timely completion.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset master list, calculate depreciation, amortisation and related costs, and verify assets on a rotational basis.
• Prepare insurance pre‑payments, accruals and assist with asset valuation, insurance renewal and claims settlement.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
• Observe health, safety and environmental procedures to maintain a safe workplace.
