Accountant / Analyst

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant / Analyst to support the delivery of accounting services across multiple areas. The role involves preparing payments, payroll, journal entries and assisting with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and process payments to third parties, payroll, social security, benefits and expense reimbursements, ensuring accuracy and timely posting.
• Calculate statutory obligations such as Zakat withholding and contribute to monthly cash‑call forecasts.
• Prepare, review and book journal entries after approval, attaching supporting documentation for audit purposes.
• Review bank reconciliations, resolve unidentified items and manage overdue checks.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, calculate depreciation, amortisation and ensure compliance with asset control policies.
• Prepare insurance pre‑payments and accruals, and support shareholders with asset valuation and claims settlement.
• Assist internal and external auditors by compiling required documents and responding to queries.
• Participate in month‑end and year‑end closing activities to identify anomalies and ensure a timely close.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in English (KJO L4 level).
• Strong understanding of accounting policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
