Pressure Pumping Sales Director – Central Africa

About the role

Baker Hughes is seeking a senior sales and commercial leader to launch and grow its Pressure Pumping and Production Enhancement services across Central and Southern Africa. The role will build the business from scratch, develop a pipeline, secure initial contracts and scale the portfolio into a profitable operation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute country‑level market entry strategies and create a sustainable pipeline (≥3x coverage).
• Identify opportunities on brownfield and production‑driven assets, secure pilot jobs and convert early wins into long‑term partnerships.
• Establish relationships with National Oil Companies, International Oil Companies and independent operators at asset and decision‑making levels.
• Own order intake, revenue and profitability targets, developing commercial models such as campaign‑based pricing, bundled services and performance‑based contracts.
• Drive growth of cementing, stimulation, coiled tubing, well intervention and other production‑enhancement solutions.
• Coordinate closely with operations to ensure feasible service delivery, optimized mobilization, logistics and cost control in remote environments.

Required profile

• Proven senior sales leadership experience in the oil & gas or energy‑technology sector.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of building new businesses in multicultural, dynamic markets.
• Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and influence work programs before formal tendering.
