Procurement Assistant (Special Service Agreement)

About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking a Procurement Assistant on a Special Service Agreement to support purchasing activities in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo. The role ensures timely and efficient acquisition of goods and services needed for field operations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out administrative procurement tasks, including preparation and issuance of tender documents.
• Collect, compile, and distribute procurement data and related documentation.
• Assist in evaluating bids, negotiating terms, and awarding contracts while ensuring compliance with WFP procurement policies.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement actions and support reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with programme and logistics teams to identify procurement needs and timelines.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in procurement or supply chain support, preferably in humanitarian or development settings.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good communication skills in English; knowledge of French is an advantage.

Required skills

• Familiarity with tendering processes and contract administration.
• Basic understanding of procurement regulations and best practices.
