Risk Analyst – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Risk Analyst to join our globally distributed team. In this remote position you will identify, assess and mitigate operational, financial and regulatory risks that could affect our platform and its users.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor platform data to detect emerging threats such as payment fraud, account takeovers, spam, phishing and synthetic identity attacks.
• Query large datasets using SQL, Python or similar tools to uncover attack vectors and quantify their impact.
• Design and implement rules, models and automated workflows that prevent fraudulent or high‑risk activity while preserving a smooth user experience.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance and Legal teams to embed risk controls throughout the product lifecycle and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Act as a primary responder during high‑severity incidents, making rapid decisions to contain losses and protect user trust.
• Build dashboards and regular reports that track key risk indicators and evaluate the effectiveness of mitigation strategies.
• Provide feedback on internal risk tools and work with engineers to enhance detection capabilities.
• Assist in the assessment and integration of third‑party risk intelligence providers.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in risk analysis, fraud intelligence, trust & safety or financial‑crime investigations within tech, e‑commerce or fintech.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn raw, messy data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with global compliance frameworks such as AML, KYC, GDPR or PSD2.
