Catering Assistant – School Hospitality Team

About the role

Eaton Park Academy is looking for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join its Hospitality Team. The role supports the day‑to‑day delivery of a smooth catering service for pupils, especially during lunchtimes, and contributes to a welcoming environment on campus.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, presentation and service of meals during school lunchtimes.
• Help maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining area.
• Support stock control by receiving deliveries and organising supplies.
• Work closely with senior catering staff to ensure meals meet dietary and quality standards.
• Provide friendly service to pupils and staff, responding to any special requests.

Required profile

• Positive, reliable attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Good people skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to the school’s timetable and occasional extra duties.
• Previous experience in catering is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills are required; training on food preparation, hygiene standards and equipment use will be provided.
