Backend Engineer Annotator

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer Annotator to support the development and evaluation of artificial intelligence systems. In this role you will review, annotate, validate and improve datasets that consist of backend code samples, API definitions and system design outputs, helping to train high‑quality AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and annotate backend code samples, REST API and GraphQL workflows.
• Label datasets involving authentication mechanisms, micro‑services and event‑driven designs.
• Validate scalability, performance and reliability standards of server‑side code.
• Provide structured engineering reasoning and feedback on code accuracy and logic.
• Review database queries, authentication systems and containerized deployments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical discipline.
• Experience reviewing code or conducting technical assessments.
• Strong understanding of backend security principles and secure coding standards.

Required skills

• Authentication technologies: OAuth, JWT, session management.
• Microservices architecture, distributed systems, event‑driven design.
• Containerization with Docker.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
• SQL databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL.
• NoSQL databases: MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB.
