Senior Product Manager, Growth (Global)

About the role

beehiiv is the all-in-one newsletter and creator platform, now serving tens of thousands of publishers and reaching hundreds of millions of readers monthly. As Senior Product Manager, Growth, you will own the stretch from signup to paying customer: signup, onboarding, activation, upsells and trial-to-paid conversion. You will work 100% on growth, with the Growth & Marketing team, and take over an active roadmap of onboarding and conversion experiments on day one.

Key responsibilities

• Own signup, onboarding, activation, upsells and trial-to-paid conversion, and be accountable for trial start rate, activation and paid conversion
• Own and prioritize the growth roadmap, run a steady cadence of experiments from hypothesis through readout, and weigh impact against effort with engineering
• Fix friction points in the funnel: mobile-first experience, trial start, checkout and the first "aha" moment for new users
• Design upsell and trial experiences that let users try key features before a paywall
• Build agent-first onboarding, including AI-assisted onboarding via AI agents (MCP)
• Turn non-converting trials into paying customers through lifecycle, offers and trial-period experiments
• Work with Growth Marketing on acquisition quality, paid funnels and lifecycle messaging
• Define success metrics and event tracking for every experiment
• Prototype and design your own experiments with AI and the design system, and collaborate with core product PMs on cross-area activation moments

Required profile

• 5+ years in product management, with meaningful time owning growth, activation, onboarding or monetization in a product-led SaaS business
• Track record of moving a conversion metric (ideally free/trial-to-paid) through a high-velocity experimentation program
• Experience across the full trial funnel and how mobile and desktop users differ
• Prior experience in the newsletter/media/creator/publishing/SaaS industry is a plus
• Comfortable working independently with little direction, and able to handle rapid iteration and frequent context switching

Required skills

• SQL and product analytics tools such as Metabase, Amplitude and FullStory
• AI-native way of working: using tools like Claude or Cursor to prototype, analyze data and write, and producing engineer-ready PRDs and near-finished prototypes
• Good judgment on which experiments can go straight to production and which need a designer
