Lac Tele Community Reserve Program Manager

About the role

The Lac Tele Community Reserve (LTCR) Program Manager will lead the planning, coordination and implementation of the Reserve’s conservation programme, ensuring alignment with the LTCR Management Plan and delivering agreed community and environmental outcomes. Reporting to the LTCR Director and the RoC Program Manager, the role bridges technical programmes, grants and stakeholder engagement across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead program planning, annual work plans and budgets, develop tools and procedures for social, environmental, livelihoods and natural resource management, and ensure high‑quality implementation.
• Manage the full grant cycle for major awards such as the Climate‑Resilient and Inclusive Livelihoods Project, ensuring compliance with donor (World Bank) rules, financial and procurement requirements, and timely reporting.
• Maintain external relations by updating partners, representing WCS with donors and government, and supporting the production of communication materials about LTCR activities.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s) in natural resource management, conservation, development or related field, or a Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience.
• At least five years of on‑the‑ground project management experience in community conservation or natural resource management, including design, implementation, M&E and budgeting.
• Proven experience working with bilateral donors, especially the World Bank, and strong oral and written French communication skills (English a plus).
• Demonstrated ability to work in remote, challenging conditions and collaborate with multicultural teams, preferably in Central Africa.
