Human Resources Assistant (French Speaking)

About the role

Kempinski in Brazzaville is looking for a French-speaking Human Resources Assistant to support the Director of Human Resources as a business partner. The role delivers the strategic HR agenda focused on attracting, developing, engaging and retaining talent, performance management, organizational design and workforce planning, and efficient, compliant HR operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support and coach the leadership team on organizational and people topics so they can meet guest service and business objectives.
• Maintain and develop the employer brand locally and beyond, run search and selection for senior and volume recruitment, and manage onboarding.
• Drive colleague engagement through communication and events, follow up on engagement survey results and feedback, and handle staff grievances proactively.
• Assess the hotel's competitive positioning as an employer and design compensation and benefits structures based on market and internal benchmarking.
• Ensure corporate and local policies and procedures are communicated and implemented.

Required profile

• University degree in HR or Congolese law.
• Fluent in French and English.
• 6 years of HR management experience in hospitality, preferably luxury, with at least 2 years in a leading position.
• Strong understanding of work culture in Congo.
