Associate / Senior Associate, Banking & Finance

About the role

Sayenko Kharenko is seeking an ambitious lawyer for a Mid‑Level / Senior Associate position in its Banking & Finance practice. You will join the leading team in Ukraine and work on major international transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage transactions or workstreams independently, coordinating with foreign counsel and other practice groups.
• Lead drafting and negotiation of primary transactional documents such as facility and security agreements.
• Provide legal advice on regulatory matters, including currency control and banking regulations.
• Supervise and coordinate junior legal team members, delegating tasks and reviewing work products.
• Act as a primary client contact, handling client queries and coordinating tasks.

Required profile

• Graduate of a leading law university with a Master’s degree.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience in a law firm or similar role.
• Full professional fluency in Ukrainian and English.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and a proactive approach.
• Commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
