Artificial Intelligence Engineer – Hybrid Contract

About the role

Vennote Technologies is seeking a talented Artificial Intelligence Engineer specialized in Natural Language Processing to join its Product Development and Project Implementation team in Brazzaville, Congo. This hybrid contract role focuses on building next‑generation multimodal AI products for phone, web, and mobile interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve NLP models using RAG, transformers, and deep neural networks.
• Gather, clean, and annotate datasets for chatbot training.
• Create response templates based on identified intents and entities.
• Implement statistical models to generate natural, diverse replies.
• Extract textual features such as n‑grams, POS tags, and named entities.
• Build intent‑recognition models and enhance named‑entity‑recognition pipelines.
• Collaborate with speech scientists, software developers, analysts, and project managers.
• Produce production‑grade code following team best practices.
• Iterate on NLP solutions using customer‑provided data.

Required profile

• Veteran AI engineer fluent in French and comfortable with Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and agentic AI.
• Strong experience in Python and deep‑learning frameworks (preferably PyTorch, optionally Keras).
• Proven ability to work in an agile environment, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively.
• Passion for conversational design grounded in Congolese culture and fluency in at least one local language.
