Port Engineer – West Africa

About the role

We are looking for a Port Engineer to support our marine operations across West Africa, based in Congo or Gabon. The role involves ensuring vessels remain operational, compliant and ready to deliver service to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day technical performance and reliability of assigned vessels.
• Plan, coordinate and oversee preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, dry dockings and technical projects.
• Conduct vessel inspections, monitor maintenance standards locally and resolve technical deficiencies.
• Assist the Technical Superintendent in maintaining statutory, class and ISM Code compliance.
• Coordinate procurement of technical spare parts, equipment and external services while managing inventory costs.
• Collaborate with Masters, Chief Engineers, operations teams, contractors and suppliers to deliver safe and efficient technical solutions.
• Support audits, client inspections, technical investigations and emergency repairs as required.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Marine Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in marine engineering, technical vessel management or a similar role.
• Experience with Offshore Support Vessels (OSVs), harbour tugs, towage or offshore marine operations.
