Lead Online Manager

About the role

The Lead Online Manager directs a small team of managers responsible for the supermarket’s online delivery operation. You will own the end‑to‑end delivery process, ensuring every order leaves the store on time and meets customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of managers to deliver the online delivery operation, guaranteeing on‑time dispatch.
• Review performance data, enforce compliance with processes and procedures, and drive KPI improvement.
• Plan key trading activities and events in partnership with store leadership.
• Take full overnight accountability for the store, modelling high standards and coaching staff.
• Manage people‑related functions including pay, scheduling, training, communication, performance, absence and disciplinary actions.
• Oversee early‑morning picking activities (typically 04:00‑08:00).

Required profile

• Passionate leader with a strong customer and colleague focus.
• Proven experience managing managers in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment.
• Ability to operate independently without senior oversight.
• Data‑savvy, comfortable interpreting and improving KPIs.

• Capability to handle disciplinary matters up to dismissal.
• Track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences across complex operations.
