Freelance Engineering Designer – Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Computer

About the role

We are seeking freelance engineering designers to work remotely on a variety of projects spanning electrical & electronics, civil, mechanical and computer networking. The role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to apply your expertise using industry‑standard simulation and CAD tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design and simulate electronic circuits and control systems (Arduino, PIC, ATMega) using Proteus and MATLAB/Simulink.
• Model, analyse and design structural systems (foundations, columns, beams, slabs) with ETABS, AutoCAD and STAAD Pro.
• Create 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components using SolidWorks, AutoCAD and CATIA, and run ANSYS analyses.
• Develop network topologies and simulation models for LAN, WAN, wireless and cloud environments using Packet Tracer, NS2/NS3 and OPNET.
• Validate all designs through iterative simulation scenarios and document results comprehensively.
• Stay current with updates to the relevant software libraries, standards and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical or Computer Engineering.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fully remote setting.
• Flexible schedule to meet project deadlines.

Required skills

• MATLAB, Simulink, Proteus, Arduino, PIC, ATMega.

• SolidWorks, CATIA, ANSYS, GD&T.
• Packet Tracer, NS2, NS3, OPNET.
• Knowledge of sheet‑metal design, plastic part design and weldments.
