Director of Spa and Recreation

About the role

The Director of Spa and Recreation will lead the Resense luxury European spa in Brazzaville, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while driving profitability. Reporting to the Resense Operations Manager and collaborating closely with the Hotel General Manager, the role oversees all spa and recreation activities in line with Resense and Kempinski standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily spa operations, maintaining cleanliness, maintenance, and service standards.
• Implement and enforce Resense and Kempinski SOPs, policies, and manuals across the team.
• Resolve guest complaints promptly and ensure safety and security for guests and staff.
• Develop and manage an efficient maintenance programme for spa equipment to meet 5‑star standards.
• Coordinate employee scheduling, vacation planning, and staff orientation.
• Mentor staff for professional growth and ensure compliance with health & safety policies.
• Plan and implement recreation programmes, policies, and performance standards in line with international standards.
• Assist in developing new spa products and services to enhance the guest offering.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience managing spa and recreation operations, preferably in a 5‑star hotel.
• Fluent in French and English, both oral and written.
• Strong people‑orientation, entrepreneurial mindset, and passion for European luxury hospitality.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to inspire and lead teams, with solid management capabilities.
