Director of Spa and Recreation

About the role

The Director of Spa and Recreation will lead the Resense Spa team in Brazzaville, ensuring the delivery of a luxury European spa experience that exceeds guest expectations while driving profitability. Reporting to the Resense Operations Manager and collaborating closely with the Hotel General Manager, the role demands strong operational oversight and brand stewardship.

Key responsibilities

• Uphold the Resense brand vision and luxury European spa USP.
• Supervise daily spa operations, ensuring cleanliness, maintenance, and service standards.
• Communicate effectively with guests, spa staff, and other hotel departments.
• Implement and enforce Resense and Kempinski SOPs, policies, and manuals.
• Resolve guest complaints promptly and report according to SOPs.
• Maintain an efficient maintenance program for spa facilities and equipment.
• Manage employee scheduling, vacation planning, and staff development.
• Conduct orientation and training for new employees.
• Enforce health and safety policies.
• Coordinate administrative functions and reporting for the recreation department.
• Assist in developing new spa products and services.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience managing spa and recreation in a 5‑star hotel environment.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• People‑oriented, entrepreneurial mindset, and passionate about European luxury hospitality.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead a diverse team.
