Director of Sales & Marketing

About the role

The Director of Sales & Marketing leads the hotel’s sales and marketing strategy, aiming to achieve the revenue targets set out in the Sales & Marketing Plan. This senior position oversees national and international key accounts, drives budgeted revenue, and ensures alignment with corporate objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the creation and implementation of the Sales & Marketing Plan, policies, procedures and objectives.
• Define corporate and travel trade marketing and sales strategies, including pricing and promotion.
• Communicate corporate and regional sales objectives to the team and monitor performance metrics such as room‑night productivity and revenue.
• Manage budgets for sales activities, promotions and miscellaneous expenses.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding and talent development for the Sales & Marketing team in partnership with People Services.
• Maintain strong relationships with global sales offices and ensure efficient follow‑up on leads.
• Oversee reservation systems, group and individual booking requests, and ensure accurate data in the reservation database.
• Gather market intelligence on competitors, new projects and industry trends, and distribute insights to relevant staff.
• Develop promotional materials for sales calls, trade shows and other marketing activities.
• Coordinate with other department heads to guarantee guest and group satisfaction.
