Director of Marketing and Communication

About the role

The Director of Marketing and Communication will support the Director of Sales & Marketing in positioning Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates as the market leader. This senior role oversees all marketing activities, ensures brand compliance, and drives revenue through strategic promotion of rooms, F&B outlets, events and other hotel services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and agree the hotel marketing plan with the Director of Sales & Marketing.
• Promote rooms, food & beverage outlets, conferences and events to drive revenue.
• Design promotions and packages in collaboration with F&B, Revenue, Spa and other departments.
• Conduct regular competition analysis and adjust positioning of revenue‑driving areas.
• Monitor market trends and target customers to create effective campaigns.
• Coordinate with external agencies for marketing, PR, creative and brand initiatives.
• Manage the marketing budget, track actual versus planned spend and reallocate funds as needed.
• Forecast ROI for each activity, track results and optimise spend across online, direct mail and print channels.
• Oversee content creation for offline and online channels, ensuring up‑to‑date information on the intranet, website and third‑party platforms.
• Develop an annual content plan covering the brand website, newsletters, social media and other communication channels.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior marketing leadership within the hospitality sector.
• Strong ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies.
• Demonstrated talent‑development skills, including coaching, mentoring and career planning.
• Experience in managing cross‑functional teams and coordinating with external agencies.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess market trends, competition and ROI.
