Community Reserve Program Manager – Lac Tele

About the role

The Lac Tele Community Reserve Program Manager will lead the planning, coordination and implementation of the reserve’s conservation programme in line with the LTCR Management Plan. Working closely with the LTCR Director, country leadership and technical teams, the manager ensures that program activities, grants and community initiatives are delivered effectively and sustainably.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage annual work plans, budgets and grant proposals, ensuring alignment with conservation priorities and donor requirements.
• Oversee the Climate‑Resilient and Inclusive Livelihoods Project (ProClimat Congo), managing the full grant cycle from start‑up to close‑out and ensuring compliance with World Bank regulations.
• Coordinate with finance, logistics, law‑enforcement and technical teams to maintain high‑quality implementation, monitoring and adaptive management.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding and performance oversight of staff, consultants and partners, and build capacity in reporting and donor compliance.
• Represent WCS and LTCR with donors, government agencies and partners, and support communication of project results.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s) in natural resource management, conservation, development or related field, or a Bachelor’s with relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of on‑the‑ground project management experience in community conservation or natural resource management.
• Proven experience managing the full project cycle, including design, implementation, M&E, budgeting and reporting, preferably with bilateral donors such as the World Bank.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in French; English proficiency is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work in remote, challenging environments and collaborate with multicultural teams, preferably in Central Africa.
