Civil Engineer – Road Construction & Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead the planning, supervision, and coordination of road construction and rehabilitation projects. The role involves managing all civil infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate road construction, haul roads, access roads, drainage systems, and culverts.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and schedules for compliance.
• Supervise contractors, subcontractors, equipment operators, and site personnel.
• Monitor progress, budgets, and timelines; prepare regular progress reports.
• Conduct site inspections, quality control checks, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate surveying, grading, earthworks, and procurement of materials and equipment.
• Liaise with project managers, consultants, government authorities, and local stakeholders.
• Verify completed work quantities and certify contractor progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional civil engineering experience.
• At least 5 years in road construction, preferably in mining or large‑scale projects.
• Experience in remote or mining environments is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D (or similar engineering software).
