About the role

The Operational Project Manager will lead small‑scale construction and maintenance projects within a school environment for the 2026‑2027 academic year. Reporting to the Executive Director of Operations, the role blends hands‑on building work with project coordination to ensure safe, timely, and cost‑effective delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee small construction and facility projects.
• Perform hands‑on tasks such as carpentry, installation, and general construction work.
• Collaborate with school administrators, maintenance staff, and external contractors.
• Develop scopes of work, cost estimates, and material lists.
• Procure materials and manage project budgets.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and district policies.
• Monitor timelines, quality, and project completion while minimizing classroom disruption.
• Maintain accurate records of projects and expenditures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High School Diploma.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Experience in maintenance, construction, or facilities operations.
• Proven ability to complete hands‑on construction tasks.
• Strong organizational and project coordination abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of safety practices, tools, and basic building codes.
