Bilingual Legal Specialist – Oilfield Services & Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual attorney to join our global Legal Team. The role focuses on reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements for oilfield services and equipment across upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors. You will work closely with business development, external customers, and government contracting teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal reviews of contracts, identify risks, and ensure consistency between French and English versions.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage master service agreements, pricing agreements, job‑specific contracts, software licences, NDAs, sub‑contracts, bids and tenders.
• Support bilingual contracting needs while maintaining legal accuracy and business alignment.
• Manage legal operations initiatives, including outside‑counsel coordination and reporting on key performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of commercial contract negotiation experience, with at least 2 years in the oil & gas industry.
• Licensed to practice law and fluent in both French and English (written and verbal).
• Proven ability to advise leaders on contract law, risk exposure, and practical business applications.
• Strong analytical, writing, and independent work capabilities.
