Rig Manager – Onshore Drilling & Workover

About the role

WWS Energies is seeking an experienced Rig Manager to lead onshore drilling and workover operations in West Africa. The role combines oversight of drilling programmes with responsibility for well intervention activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all drilling operations on land rigs, guaranteeing safe and efficient execution of the drilling programme.
• Manage workover and well‑intervention activities to optimise well performance while adhering to strict HSE standards.
• Coordinate mobilisation of personnel, equipment, and materials to meet project timelines.
• Monitor compliance with local regulations and company policies, reporting any deviations promptly.
• Collaborate with engineering, HSE, and operations teams to resolve technical issues and improve operational procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience on land drilling rigs, with at least five years in a supervisory role.
• Strong expertise in drilling, workover, and well‑intervention operations.
• Outstanding safety record and deep HSE awareness.
• Ability to mobilise quickly and work effectively in African onshore environments.
• Fluent in English and French.
